Life is short
Americans do not usually live in fear of their lives minute to minute, hour to hour. We have car accidents, falls, sickness and all sorts of unexplained things going on in the world all the time but somehow we all think we are immune here in the US, until it happens. One minute we are doing fine - the next we can get a phone call someone has died or fallen ill or been hurt.
People in war torn countries are so used to bad things happening they handle these things much better. When the subway was bombed in London - bleeding people were helped from the wreckage calm as could be and speaking in a calm manner about the tradgedy. Here in the US there would have been screaming, panic, crying, people jumping into the wreckage claiming to have been another victim - terrible.
We should live out lives like everyday may be the last for us, our loved ones or the people around us. Make memories every day---have experiences everywhere you go!
